Since a lot of people seem to have trouble understanding the lingo when they first come onto irc, i thought i’d post this handy helpful guide so even the fresh-faced beginners can understand some of the more non-obvious acronyms we use on FSIRC.

Hi guys,
Due to the constant prodding by kaelee and her demands for exp, we have a shiny new irc game, IdleSword.
IdleSword is an idlerpg in the same vein as the g7 irdlerpg. It’s an rpg game for irc in which the aim is to idle in #idlesword, the longer you can stay in that channel and be idle, the more you level up. You don’t have to be idle in all channels, only in the single channel #IdleSword.
You can explore the idlesword help pages in the main menu at the top of the site, and get yourself ready for setting up your character when the game goes live. To make everything fair for people in different timezones and to make sure nobody gets a super head start, the game will be going live tomorrow at mid-day server-time (1200 thursday 25/3/10).
Be sure to check out the prize pool, you could win fsp, items, even your very own pick-axe!
and don’t forget… there’s nothing at all in the rules that says you can’t ‘encourage’ people to speak in #idlesword and penalize themselves…
hey guys, i’m just putting together the prize pool for the idlesword, which leads me to an interesting question… what exactly would you guys like as valuable prizes? obviously some shiny fsp, but what else? lvl 400 gear, lvl800 gear, lvl1 gear? give us a clue!
Well, it all went a little crazy last night. For the two players in the world who didn’t see the announcement, we had a special guest! Hoofmaster came to visit for an impromptu Developer Chat. Overall the chat was a resounding success, if a little disorganised, and I’m sure I speak for all players when I say Thanks Hoof, it really is a pleasure to see a development team so keen on interacting with the community.
Overall the Dev Chat was quite a success and I certainly hope we’ll be seeing more of the big man himself in weeks to come.
Well, since the game is still down, how about something else to take your mind off it…
Oh, and if you’re curious, no, it isn’t on fire. Scotland has finally succumbed to the robot invasion, the machines are rising against their masters. Right now, HCS are just trying to avoid becoming slaves to our new Shiny Server Overlords…
