hey guys, i’m just putting together the prize pool for the idlesword, which leads me to an interesting question… what exactly would you guys like as valuable prizes? obviously some shiny fsp, but what else? lvl 400 gear, lvl800 gear, lvl1 gear? give us a clue!

Well, it all went a little crazy last night.  For the two players in the world who didn’t see the announcement, we had a special guest!  Hoofmaster came to visit for an impromptu Developer Chat.  Overall the chat was a resounding success, if a little disorganised, and I’m sure I speak for all players when I say Thanks Hoof, it really is a pleasure to see a development team so keen on interacting with the community.

Overall the Dev Chat was quite a success and I certainly hope we’ll be seeing more of the big man himself in weeks to come.

Oh, and if you’re curious, no, it isn’t on fire. Scotland has finally succumbed to the robot invasion, the machines are rising against their masters. Right now, HCS are just trying to avoid becoming slaves to our new Shiny Server Overlords…

Maybe this is why they always ask for doubler with 500 max stam…..

Well, christmas has come and gone, and the new year is here! So, the question becomes, what shall we do with it?

Here at fsirc we have tried lots of tweaks and toys, everything from customised sigs to AI stat analysis, some things worked and some things didn’t.  We also spent a lot of time before christmas performing significant upgrades to the technology that runs everything, and now we are left with a good stable platform we can expand on… but how to expand?

This is where we need a little feedback, what do you want to see improved upon or re-implemented?  what toys have you seen that you liked and want to see more of?  feel free to leave a comment and let us know where to head.

not sure what we mean?  well, how about some ideas…

• RSS feeds of your player log, guild log, other things, the titan log…
• IRC stat updates.  when is your stam going to be full, is there a titan on the loose, AH searches…
• Bamboo laptops so that pandas can come on to irc…
• Channels for other HCS games, gothador, sigmastorm…
• Databse Tools.  Automatically search for a best set for a set of stats, compare items, find sets based on gold price, fsp price, holiday specials, common drops etc…

I’m sure you guys get the idea, so go wild, see what you can come up with!

Yay!  it’s back up folks, it looks like someone fed the hamsters powering the database server and the game is back up and running.  Admittedly, it is a little slow right now, but that’s expected, it takes a little while for the datbases to get up to speed and for the caches to refill.  Bear with it, it’ll be back up to fll speed before you know it.
