As irc regulars know the HCS staff, whom we all refer to as the Cows, stopped in much earlier this year and invited us to help test out a new UI for the game. Since then jt^ stops in pretty often to chat and hoof has made appearances also. Things are reaching a culmination and today the new system is going live with an option of using the old version for a limited time. We don’t know what will happen to the alpha server but time will tell.

If you are lucky, and have questions or concerns or issues with the new UI you might just catch an HCS staff member visiting us in irc and be able to get a word in about it. No promises though. Bionic Bovine seems to have gone into a sulk because of thwarted flirtations or perhaps ignored overtures.

So mind your manners, and bring your best stomping boots because we expect to see things hopping and I for one would really rather not have to do some thumping of heads to go with it. If in doubt, check the MOTD for what the rules are, where to file your complaints or send your bribes. If you are new to our site then you should be reading the MOTD anyway because ignorance of the rules is no excuse.

“Isabella was born this Morning at 5:01am by Emergency Caesarian Section weighing 7lb 13oz. Mother and Child doing well, however they’ll be in Hospital for a few days for Recovery and Monitoring”

Hi guys.

It turns out someone left the wire-cutters out and the hamsters have figured out how to use them and made a bid for freedom!  Don’t panic, we sent BionicBovine out to catch them and we even let her use the crossbow!

Tonight between midnight and 2am the servers are going to be upgraded, don’t panic, it won’t hurt.  fallenswordirc will, however, be going offline for about 10 minutes while our hosts move us over to some shiny new (and much more sparkly) servers.

don’t worry, we arn’t going to lose any accounts, it’ll just switch off, then back on again a few minutes later.  as usual, if you have any problems at all then drop us a line at support@fallenswordirc.com and we’ll get you killed fixed up.

Hi all,

As some of you may know, one of our team, Zukira, is having an operation.  It seems that her tentacles have grown far too long and need to be trimmed back so she can manage to eat noob souls once more.  I’m sure i speak for all of us when I say get well soon, we miss you already!

on another completely unrelated note, we’re upgrading the site and services over this next week, so if anything funky happens, don’t panic, PonyT is to blame >:)

the tentacles demand it

Yet again we’ve got two irc regulars competing in the tournament – having made it through the first two rounds already, they and the other artists are tackling the theme of space this time. The competition is tougher, the images more epic and the need for YOU to vote is still just as strong. So click this link and come show your support to the great artists of FallenSword.

You’ll need to vote for 1 entry in each of 4 groups, and supply a reason for the vote. Simply saying ‘I liked this one more’ is fine, though if you feel moved to say more you are strongly encouraged to do so.

Invite your guild members, your friends, heck even your enemies to come view the art and help choose who should make it through to the next round.

And I’d like to thank you, on behalf of both myself, and my fellow artists competing for taking the time to vote or promote the tournament.

Round 2 of the tournament has begun with the artists who made it through from the first round tackling the theme of music for this round. Drop by the forum voting thread and cast your votes for which you think are the best in each category. If you could, also encourage your fellow guild members to cast their votes as well.

The artists of FallenSword have come together again to present a stunning display of artistry. Through the course of several rounds the general player-base is invited to chime in and cast their votes on the pieces presented by those participating. There are even fsIRC users participating so get out there and show your support!

Participants are not restricted to the normal size restrictions for game and forum graphics. Each round has a different theme. This first round is themed around emotions.

So come on fsIRC users – vote for your favorites.

FallenSword appears to be down for some ‘network issues’. Why not drag a guildmate or two into irc so you can still chat and while there, start up a conversation and get to know some of the other players of our joint addiction?
