Chat clients

This is for those of you who do not like to use just the basic java chat client to access the IRC main room chat. Below is a list of a few clients you can use and some descriptions as well as the links to get them.

Chatzilla – For those avid firefox users, chatzilla is an add on client for the browser that has a few different themes to use. Also makes joining chat easy for FF users as it will launch if you click an IRC link.

mIRC – A stand alone client that has been around for years. Highly customizable for colors, has easy to use options to perform commands upon login to verify your account and automatically join the room, or rooms of your choice, keep logs of conversations and has multiple server capabilities. This will also launch by clicking a link and automatically join the room in that link for the user who doesn’t want to be fussed with more. (There are older versions available to get around having to pay immediately.)

IceChat - A standalone chat client, used to connect to multiple servers at a time. Comes with a few different color and config options.

To join IRC via client type in /attach or /server irc.fallenswordirc.com then type in /join #fallensword in the command line.
