Quests

As players explore the world, they will encounter quests.  Unfortunately, quests are kept on a high shelf and only players of level 40 or above can reach them.  When a quest is discovered, four level 40+ players that have been online for more than ten hours are randomly chosen.  These players will brave the Quest and represent the entire realm in their pursuits.  If all four players are victorious, they are rewarded 25% of their level.  However, if they fail the costs are dire, All online players are penalized p15 as they recover from the grief caused by watching their hero’s fail.

There are two types of quest, time based quests and map based quests.  To complete either type, the players must survive the Quest with no penalties.

• Time based quests last a random amount of time between 12 and 24 hours, in which the player will no longer be adventuring, but performing an epic task.
• Map based quests require the players to visit certain points on the map.  They will automatically travel to the locations on the map until they complete the quest.
